- WASH joins with the American Humanist Association to host the National Day of Reason web project.
- The Secular Coalition for America is a new lobbying organization whose purpose is to amplify the voice of the nontheistic community in the United States. The Secular Coalition for America focuses on the concerns of American freethinkers -- atheists, agnostics, humanists, skeptics, and others who consider themselves non-religious. The Coalition also enthusiastically welcomes the participation of religious Americans who share our view that freedom of conscience must extend to people of all faiths and of none.
- Americans United for Separation of Church and State is one of the most long-standing, active, and effective organizations in protecting our cherished constitutional separation of church and state.
- The Center For Inquiry (CFI) is one of the most active and effective organizations in protecting reason and science. Recently, they opened an office in Washington, DC.
